Turret table for a laser

Official

For marking coasters, tags and blanks in a batch. A magazine drops a blank into the nest at the load station, the table turns one station, UPAN pulses OUT1 to start the laser's job and waits for the laser's “done” on UIN1, then turns again; a guide pushes the marked part into a bin. The station number is big on the screen, a tap on the ring turns to any station (always forward, so a part never jams against the guide). Six equal stations; every station must land on a whole thousandth of a degree, so the table never drifts. The laser keeps its own software and job: UPAN only says when.

Controller screen

How the controller draws this screen on a phone, next to the machine it drives. Tap the presets and the buttons: the machine moves at the speed of a demo machine. The gear in the top bar opens the settings.

OUT1 → the laser's “start” input, the laser's “done” output → UIN1. A pedal on UIN2 starts the cycle.

Turret table under a fibre laserStation 1 / 6 · 0 marked

A demo turret with 6 nests: a blank drops from the magazine, the next turn brings it under the lens, the laser marks it and the guide pushes it into the bin. The laser runs its own job; UPAN only says “mark now” and waits for “done”. The table turns one way only.

Layout data (upan.layout-data/1)

The file also carries the layout data the device starts with: presets, offsets and form values.

{
  "format": "upan.layout-data/1",
  "layout": "turret",
  "presets": {},
  "offsets": {},
  "selected": {},
  "fields": {
    "mark": {
      "count": 24
    }
  }
}

The agent opens with this preset's code and your values already in the message: add what you want to change.

Install

Install codeP-4TRT

  1. On the device's control page: enter P-4TRT.
  2. Without internet: download the file and drop it on the control page.
  3. With an agent: ask it to install preset P-4TRT.

Not final: installing by code needs controller firmware that is still in development. The file and the API work today.

Phrases for an agent

  • Mark 50 coasters on the turret.
  • The plate has 8 nests now.
