Questions

Degrees or steps?

Degrees. A rotary axis counts in thousandths of a degree; you enter the gear ratio once and then talk in degrees.

Where is zero?

Where you set it: home on a switch, or declare the current angle as zero. Turning by an angle works without homing; turning to an absolute angle needs it.

Do I need an AI agent?

No. Enter the number of divisions on the device's control page or install a preset. An agent is one more way to drive it.

Which power supply?

12–24 V DC, up to 36 V; 48 V is not supported. A small table with a NEMA 17 motor runs from a 24 V supply such as Mean Well HDR-100-24.
