A stop on the mitre saw that sets itself to size.

Type a length or say it to your agent: the stop drives there, and the saw cuts exactly there. A cut list runs length by length, with a button press between cuts.

How to drive it

Phone

The device's own control page, with the numbers for this job. No app, no account.

Screenshot of the control page. Comes with the firmware.

Your agent

Say it in your words; upan-mcp turns it into a program that the device checks before it moves.

  • Set the stop to 742.5 mm.
  • Cut list: 455, 312 and 1018 mm, next on the button.

A ready preset

Install a preset with its code from the library. The device still checks every limit.

Questions

Do I need an AI agent?

No. Type the length on the device's control page from your phone, or install a preset. An agent is one more way to drive it.

What if someone types a length past the end of the fence?

The device refuses the program before the first step and names the wrong instruction. Travel limits are stored on the motion MCU and change only over USB with a button press on the device.

What happens if Wi-Fi drops while it moves?

A program that is already loaded runs to its end. Jogging stops by itself after a short timeout.

Which power supply?

12–24 V DC, up to 36 V; 48 V is not supported. For the drivers in the sockets, a 24 V DIN-rail supply such as Mean Well HDR-100-24 or HDR-150-24. Details are on the Power page of the documentation.
